[Ferro-alloys.com] USITC latest statistics showed the US imported 10,144 mt of ferrosilicon in June 2014, greatly down 74% from 38,946 mt of May 2014 and largely down 58% from 24,1475 mt of June 2013.

In June 2014, the US slashed imports of ferrosilicon from China and Russia, with only 81 mt of Russian ferrosilicon and 5,177 mt of Chinese ferrosilicon, followed by 2,945 mt of Canadian ferrosilicon. The major import sources of May 2014 were Russia (20,312 mt), China (12,253 mt), Canada (3,108 mt) and Iceland (1,579 mt).

In H1 of 2014, the US totally imported 134,224 mt of ferrosilicon, 4,000 mt more from 130,022 mt of the same period of 2013.
