Russia’s steel pipe production grew 7.7% on the year to 8.2 million tonnes in January–September, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a statement WEdnesday.

The output of ferrous metals rolled stock grew 3.4% to 45.7 million tonnes in the period.

Steel output rose 2% to 52.8 million tonnes and cast iron production grew 1.8% to 38.1 million tonnes.

Coke production grew 1.6% to 19.7 million tonnes.

Coal output increased 3.7% on the year and rose 5.6% on the month in September. In January–September, the coal output went down 2.2% to 252 million tonnes.
