[Ferro-alloys.com]The 4th Ferro Silicon Industrial Summit & 3rd FACOM Members Meeting arranged by Ferro-alloys.com (FACOM) was successfully held in Beijing on Jan 9-10, 2015. Mr Liang from China Electricity Council made a speech on power system reform and ferroalloys.

Mr Liang pointed out that formal power reform plan had not come out and he predicted electricity price would not drop. In the future, proportion of new energy would increase by large. As the cost of new energy was high, future electricity price was likely to increase.

Some representatives took opposite opinions. Some pointed that construction of domestic power generation projects was fast in recent years and power supply had been in surplus. As China restarted nuclear power projects, electricity surplus would be more serious and electricity price was likely to drop. The debate was vigorous and they did not reach a unified understanding at last.
