Russia's customs statistics shows the export result of standard ferro-silicon (Si >55%) in the full year 2014 (January - December) was 426,162 tons, up by 7.2% from 397,738 tons of the prior year.

In the year 2014, in spite of USA having implemented the investigation to impose an antidumping duty on Russian ferro-silicon, the quantity shipped to USA by way of Holland remained unchanged from the prior year. Besides, the export volume to Holland which recovered from the slump in 2013 and the increased export volume to Brazil where the domestic production volume drastically dropped due to the shortage of electricity arising from the drought raised the level of export volume.
