 In the first quarter of 2015 Ukrainian companies produced 245.9 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 5.5% YoY. According to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, silicomanganese output went up by 4.2%, to 198.5 thousand tons, while that of ferromanganese decreased by 10.7%, to 22.6 thousand tons, and of ferrosilicon (45%) – by 50,9%, to 21.8 thousand tons. Ukraine also produced 3 thousand tons of metallic manganese, which was not produced in Q1 2014. It should also be noted that Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant is still idle due to the military activity in the area.
