[Ferro-Alloys.com]It is reported that China totally exported 1,108.578 tons of high carbon ferromanganese on the basis of 4,449.023 tons in the same period of last year in the first half the year according to data from Chinese Customs Statistics, while exported only1,351.130 tons of C≤2% ferromanganese from 577 tons. In terms of export destination, Taiwan Province of China served as our top purchaser on high carbon ferromanganese with 614.5 tons, while North Korea became as the second buyer with 341.95 tons, while others less than 100 tons. As for C≤2% ferromanganese, USA topped the first with 880 tons, Mongolia placed the second with 420 tons and North Korea put the third with 51 tons.

Concerning ferromanganese imports in China, in the H1 2015, China totally imported 13,111.344 tons of C＞2% ferromanganese from early year 16,866.046 tons while imported 34.150 tons ≤2% ferromanganese from 431.137 tons in the same period of last year. In terms of export destination, South Africa served as our top supplier on high carbon ferromanganese with 12,930.840 tons while Japan supplied 120 tons and India exported 60 tons to China.

In general, grim economy in China and as high as 20% export tax make China lose competition on manganese alloy export. Meanwhile, fluctuation in the price of exchange rate and ongoing slipping sale in China also weigh heavily on ferromanganese imports.
