Nickel ore futures advanced this week when low-grade 0.9-1.1 quoted at 16-18 dollars per wet tone, mid-grade 1.5 mainly quoted at 29-31 dollars per wet tone and high-grade 1.8 quoted at 50-51 dollars per wet tone.
In response to sustained commodity prices downturn, global mining giants raised capital through selling assets and new shares to shareholders and cut nickel, copper and zinc capacity to protect commodity prices.
