A spokesperson from a Shandong-located factory noted that the recent trade price of low-grade ferronickel has dropped to 1650yuan/t, at which they can’t make any profit at all. Therefore, the sales department of the company has halted the selling activities and quotations to customers. Given that some machines in Shandong province restarted recently, the price seems to go down further.

In November 5, a steel maker in Huabei area published the purchasing price of high-grade nickel at 740yuan/ni, down 40yuan/ni compare to last round. The 300 stainless steel price continues to go down, and to some extent, weigh on ferronickel market, although it’s not enough to feed the steel industry.
