United States Commerce Department data showed in January 2016, United States imported 2.34 million tons of steel, down by 41.3% year on year, for 10 consecutive months declined.

Among them, US’s steel pipes and hot rolled coil imports have increased sharply as 54% and 53.4% year on year, respectively. The wire rod and cold rolled coil have declined significantly by 15.3% and 13% year on year.
