PrintNickel Ore Demand Remains Weak (Feb 29th-Mar 4th)
[www.ferro-alloys.com] This week, nickel ore demand remains weak and small quantity has been actually traded. Low grade (0.9-1.1) was mainly quoted at 120CNY and 17USD per ton in home and outer market, respectively. Medium grade (1.5) was mainly quoted at 200CNY and 24USD per ton in home and outer market, respectively. High grade (1.8) was mainly quoted at 310CNY and 45USD per ton in home and outer market, respectively.
Stable supply did not back up nickel ore price as the price of medium grade (1.5) has been slightly sheared. Inventory of nickel ore in Ports slashed by 4-6 tons and actual trade has been better, except for the demand.
Given the continuous weak demand, most factories are waiting for future opportunities.
