Print[Ferro-Alloys.com] Guizhou province has accelerated the adjustment of ferroalloy industry structure and the process for backward production capacity elimination. The government planned to eliminate backward production capacity of ferroalloys for 2.53 million tonnes from 2011 to 2014, including 1.31 million in 2012, 0.75 million in 2012 and 0.47 million in 2014.
Through controlling production capacity and improving equipment efficiency, Guizhou province strives to cut down total ferroalloy production capacity to 4.5 million tonnes, and over 80% of total furnaces’ capacity will be no less than 12,500KVA, while the capacity of refining furnaces is not lower than 5000KVA.
