China produced 2,719,000 mt ferroalloy in April, down 5.1% month on month, and up 4.1% year on year. China’s accumulated production of ferro-alloys from January to April in 2018 was 10.794 million mt, up 8.3% year on year.  

China produced 76.7 million mt crude steel in April, up 4.8% year on year, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) data showed.

Production of steel products rose 8.5% year on year in April. Exports of steel products increased 830,000 mt from a month ago and stood at 6.48 million mt in April; while imports shrank 180,000 mt from a month ago and came in at 1.05 million mt.
