China Southeast Fujian to close 392 mines before 2014

Fujian, a province located in Southeast China, will shut down 118 ferrous and nonferrous mines in 2013 after it closed 133 mines last year, China state-run news agency Xinhua reported, quoting from the government press release on January 16.
 
According to the plan published, the provincial government need to close 392 ferrous and nonferrous mines from 2012-2014 and cut down miner by 20% in order to ‘cut down mining accidents and improve utility of limited resources’.
