Ferro-alloys.com:According to news on January 8, the British private company Brazilian Nickel (BRN) has raised US$27.57 million in financing to advance the high-end stage of the Piauí nickel project in Brazil. Among them, US$25 million was invested by BRN’s financing partner and private enterprise TechMect.

BRN will use the funds to accelerate project development, expand the existing demonstration project by completing a comprehensive project feasibility study, and provide early small-scale production of the PNP1000 project.

The Piaui Nickel Mine is the company’s laterite-type nickel heap leaching project located in Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil. 73% of the resources in the mining area have been detected, showing that the amount of proven and controlled resources that meet the JORC standard is 72 million tons, 1.0% nickel grade and 0.05% cobalt, have the potential to increase within the scope of the adjacent exploration license.

At the same time, Brian Menell, Chairman and CEO of Tech Metals, and Magento Fundo De Investment, Mulimercado Investimento No Exterior Crédito Privado Flávio Guimaraes will join the company’s board of directors as a non-executive director.
