Russian steelmaker New Lipetsk Steel (NLMK) announced production and sales data for the fourth quarter of 2020 and the whole year. According to the company’s statement, the crude steel production in NLMK fourth quarter totaled 3.9 million tons, up 1% year-on-year. In 2020, the company’s crude steel production totaled 15.8 million tons, an increase of 1% year-on-year.

Foreign trade, in the fourth quarter of 2020, NLMK export sales totaled 1.6 million tons, up 21% year-on-year, down 14% from a month earlier, due to a decline in slab sales to third parties.
In January-December 2020, the company’s export sales rose 17% to 6.8 million tons year-on-year, driven by an increase in pig iron and billet exports.
