Ferro-alloys.com：Medallion Resources (TSX-V:MDL) recently stated that it has obtained an exclusive license from Hasler Ventures LLC for the separation and purification technology of rare earth elements developed by Purdue University.

The news of the approval caused the company's share price to briefly rise 240% to a high of 59 cents.

Medallion said the company now has a series of technologies, patents and ligand-assisted displacement (LAD) chromatography technology for the separation and purification of rare earth elements (REE). This right is transferred by Hasler Ventures and authorized by the Purdue Research Foundation.

The company stated that the LAD system developed by Linda Wang, Professor of Chemical Engineering Maxine Spencer Nichols at Purdue University, is based on a widely understood and used platform and provides an environmentally safe and low-tech rare earth separation method.
