Chrome Weekly Report (March 25-31)

Ferro-alloys.com: The benchmark price of FeCr, Hc (50% grade) slightly went up to 9100Yuan/mt (Cr50) in April benchmarket.The transacted price of high-carbon ferrochrome confirmed by Tsingshan group was 8995Yuan/mt( CR/50basis), DAW basis, an increase of 500Yuan/mt  than last month. 

Chromium ore  market, the price of  40-42% Concentrates ,SA origin quoted at  $250 USD/DMT CIF CMP. an increase 20USD/DMT. 

The prices of Chrome Ore  at Spot market also went up both in China and abroad. The price of UG2 increased sharply from USD225 to USD250/DMT  last week. In Chinese  Spot Chrome Market(SCM), the 40/42% Chrome Concentrats ，SA ，went up to 41Yuan/DMTU，duty paid. The reason was coming from active demands by Chinese buyers in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi and other production regions  .

 

For April and future market, we can see the price has strong support from demands side, but due to ssteel market are still very weak, and also affected by Nickel price , the cost of SSteel production went up a lot, and whether the customers of Ssteel will accept this cost increase or not. it will need some time to see what will be going on from whole Chinese Economy Development.
