【Ferro-alloys.com】:ASX-listed coal miner Coronado Global Resources on Friday confirmed merger talks with NYSE-listed Arch Resources.

Responding to media speculation regarding a potential merger, Coronado told shareholders that the company had been in confidential discussions with Arch regarding the merger but noted that the discussions were no longer ongoing.

“Coronado, from time-to-time, engages with other companies to consider potential transactions as part of its plan to drive shareholder value, however, no such discussions are ongoing,” the company told shareholders, adding that there were no expectations that discussions with Arch would resume.

Arch Resources, which was previously known as Arch Coal, is a metallurgical coal miner operating four mines in the US.
