Antam and CBL are due to conclude the nickel deal in October

- PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk has announced that its subsidiary, PT Sumberdaya Arindo (SDA), will meet the target of the nickel ore sales transaction agreement with Chinese company Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend (CBL) for the electric battery joint venture project by October of this year.

Antam's President Director Nico Kanter said that SDA would supply the nickel for the project from the company's Mining Business License area in East Halmahera, North Maluku.

Nico added that CBL is still waiting for approval from the Chinese government to invest in a foreign country as per China's economic regulations. "There will be a target for a transaction agreement in October," Nico said.

While awaiting the approval, CBL has asked Antam to provide certainty and assurance on the supply of nickel ore, which is sustainable for more than 20 years.
