[Ferro-Alloys.com] MOIL's Board has approved a strategic partnership with Gujarat Mineral Corporation (GMDC) for manganese ore mining in Gujarat. The partnership will form a 51:49 joint venture (JV) company between MOIL and GMDC.

During April-November, 2023, the company had conducted an exploratory core drilling of 49,389 mtrs., 2.6 times higher than 18,899 mtrs. in the same period last year.

Moreover, the Board has approved the draft JV agreement between MOIL and Madhya Pradesh State Mining Corporation (MPSMCL), for manganese ore mining in Madhya Pradesh.

MOIL posted a 43 percent rise in manganese ore production at 10.88 lakh tonne (LT) during April-November 2023. Last month, the production was 1.62 LT, witnessing a 35 percent year-on-year growth over 1.20 LT in November 2022.

MOIL is a Miniratna state-owned manganese-ore mining company, headquartered in Nagpur.
