Xinhai Technology now was constructing a 300,000tons high-quality nickel-iron alloy project, including 8 30,000KV furnaces and supporting facilities, of investment RMB1.5billion. since end of Feb., 56% of the engineering was finished, including 3 furnaces body and rotary kiln, substations, water recycling and other ancillary. It was expected that the project would have the initially trial production conditions by the end of July and totally finish in December. When the project was finished, the capacity of this company would reach 700,000tons with annual output of RMB12billion.

 

Taking advantage of the nickel ores, the project would mainly produce nickel-iron alloy with Ni content up to 15%-25%.

 

Referring to the prospect of the company, the official said when finish the project, they would apply to construct 1.2million tons stainless steel production line, trying to create the first-class production base of ferronickel alloy.
