[Ferro-Alloys.com] Reportedly, Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to keep its list prices for wire rod products unchanged for November.

After the price announcement, its latest prices of Al-killed electric furnace wire rod are at NTUSD24,000/ton; that of blast furnace killed wire rod is at NT$21,500/ton and that of rimmed wire rod is at NTUSD22,500/ton.

However, the firm’s November price policy is out of market participant’s estimates. It’s learned that market participants expected Quintain Steel to cut prices for November as China Steel Corp. (CSC) and Feng Hsin have reduced their prices for November.

Quintain Steel stated that it decided to remain the November list prices flat as it expected that the market demand would rise in the near future.
