Print[Ferro-alloys.com]Internationally recognized for its social work, the Vale Foundation represented the company at global philanthropy meeting. The “Global Consultation on Philanthropy Data” took place in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in the last week of March, and it gathered representatives of twenty-four organizations from different countries to discuss the challenge of creating reliable databases on philanthropic actions. With better quality and more precise information, it will be possible to define priorities, allocate resources, and identify needs and trends; thereby, optimizing the impact of the projects.
This was the first of a series of meetings, which intend to result in the development of a global guide with common principles for the data collection on this topic. The initiative is organized by the global network WINGS and by the Foundation Center, which is the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide.
