[Ferro-alloys.com]BHP Billiton's iron ore production rose 7% to 170-million mt in the fiscal year ended on June 30, 2013 compared to 159.5-million mt the previous year. Production from Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO), owned 85% by BHP Billiton, was 187-million mt (on a 100% basis) in fiscal 2013. WAIO production is slated to rise to 207-million mt (on a 100% basis) in the 2014 fiscal year.
