With total investment of VND 1.3 trillion (USD 61.3 million), the 66,000- square metre project is part of efforts to expand production of the Thai Trung Rolling Steel JSC, a subsidiary of the Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Corporation.

The factory was equipped with the latest technologies from Europe. Its major products include rolled steel and steel bars.
