According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country’s imports of stainless steel coils totaled 474,316 tons in 2013, soaring by 33% from a year ago.
The country’s import values generated by stainless steel totaled US$1.1 billion in 2013.
Among them, the imports of cold rolled stainless steel coils totaled 355,000 tons, rising by 6% year on year.
In 2013, Korea was the largest exporter of stainless steel to Turkey with 88,175 tons; Taiwan was the second largest one with 80,371 tons and China was the third largest one with 48,115 tons.\
