According to the latest data of China Automotive Industry Association, China produced 22.11 million automobiles in 2013, up 14.76% year-on-year. China sold 21.98 million automobiles in 2013, up 13.87% year-on-year. China’s automobile output topped the world in the past five years in a row. A strong demand for automotive steel was formed with the rapid development of auto industry. After the Chinese government’s Four Trillion Yuan Investment Plan, there was little room for domestic investment and investment-related steel business was faced with overcapacity. There was still some space for manufacture steel represented by automotive industry.
