Print[Ferro-Alloys.com]According to report, Tokyo Steel said yesterday that it will keep it domestic prices unchanged for all steel products for October orders.
The domestic scrap prices may decline further; however, Tokyo Steel decided to not reflect the lower costs to the customers.
It’s predicted that the other steelmakers may follow Tokyo Steel to hold the prices since the financial condition did not recover.
Tokyo Steel produced about 190,000 tons of finished steel in August, in which are 63,000 tons of H-beams and 90,000 tons of hot rolled coils (HRC) and 23,000 tons of plates. The company may raise production of 220,000 tons of steel this month.
